Yachad (10th Grade)
In Yachad, 10th graders become role models who help shape the camp community.
Through hands-on responsibility, team-building, and guided reflection, participants strengthen their confidence and learn how to lead with intention. Jewish learning is woven into daily decisions, relationships, and the way they show up for others.
What Teens Do in Yachad
Lead and Create
Teens plan and run the all-camp carnival and take on meaningful projects that give back to camp. They learn what it takes to turn ideas into action—and see the impact firsthand.
Learn and Grow
Through hands-on leadership sessions, participants strengthen communication, teamwork, and responsibility. These are skills they’ll use at camp, in school, and far beyond Peppertree Lane.
Connect and Reflect
Judaic programs spark honest conversations, self-discovery, and a deeper connection to Jewish life. Teens build confidence as they explore who they are and who they’re becoming.
Kol, Shevet, and Tzelem Teen Groups
As part of Yachad, teens join small, guided discussion groups in partnership with Moving Traditions.
- Kol (for girls)
- Shevet (for boys)
- Tzelem (for LGBTQ+, trans, and nonbinary teens)
Meeting nightly after dinner, these one-hour sessions create supportive spaces to talk about identity, relationships, stress, and growth—all through a Jewish lens. Teens gain tools, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging.
Step Into Leadership
Yachad is your chance to lead with purpose, strengthen friendships, and help shape the Alonim experience. You’ll leave with new skills, deeper connections, and memories that stay with you long after summer ends.
