Early Childhood Education Extension Program
Through the Early Childhood Education (ECE) Extension program, working adults and lifelong learners continue their training in a flexible but engaging environment.
Study alongside peers from around the country and grow your professional network without the demands of a formal degree program. Online learning available.
Students may complete a maximum of four courses through ECE Extension.
Program Details
ASYNCHRONOUS EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION ONLINE CLASSES.
These classes do not meet on Zoom.
Spring I Semester Dates: January 19 – March 14, 2027 (8 weeks only)
EDU 300 – Observation and Assessment of Infants and Toddlers (4.0 semester unit)
EDU 307 – Introduction to Working with Young Children (4.0 semester units)
SYNCHRONOUS/ASYNCHRONOUS EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION ONLINE CLASSES.
These classes will meet every other Tuesday from 4:30-6:30 PM PT / 7:30-9:30 PM ET via Zoom.**
Dates: January 19 – May 14, 2027 (1 semester)

| EDU 314 | The Indoor & Outdoor Environments: A Classroom – Week A | 4 |
| EDU 309 | STEM Education and Experiences in ECE – Week B | 4 |
**If you choose to do 2 courses, make sure you choose one Week A & one Week B course, as they will meet on alternate Tuesdays.

These classes do not meet on Zoom.
Dates: January 19 – May 14, 2027 (1 semester)
BIO 100 – Fundamentals of Biology (3.0 semester units)
BIO 100L – Fundamentals of Biology Lab (1.0 semester unit)
Cost per course: $655
Cost per lab course: $320 (includes $100 lab fee)
Registration Fee: $45 per semester
