Admissions Details
EdD in Jewish Education and Communal Leadership
Prerequisites
Applicants must:

- Hold a master’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution with a competitive GPA
-
- Have at least three years of leadership experience in a Jewish organization

- Demonstrate English language proficiency
Residency Requirement:
A required five-day in-person residency in Los Angeles during the first year of study. The EdD Intensive strengthens strategic leadership through immersive cohort learning and collaboration.

MAEd in Early Childhood Special Education and Inclusion

- Be working at least 10 hours per week in an early childhood setting

EdD in Early Childhood Education Leadership
Prerequisites
Applicants must:

- Hold a master’s degree in early childhood education or a related field from an accredited institution

- Have at least three years of professional experience in an early childhood setting

- Demonstrate English language proficiency
Residency Requirement:
A five-day in-person residency in Los Angeles during the first year. The EdD Intensive builds instructional leadership, systems thinking, and executive-level capacity.

MAEd in Early Childhood Education
Prerequisites

- Complete 6 units in early childhood education
Prior teaching experience is strongly recommended. Students must work at least 10 hours per week in an early childhood setting while enrolled. An interview may be required.

BA Completion Degree in Early Childhood Education
Admissions Requirements
Applicants must:

- Hold an associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution or

- Have completed 60 semester units outside AJU
Approximately 34 semester units (or 51 quarter units) must meet IGETC requirements. Students complete 60 upper-division credits at AJU to reach 120 total semester units.

Transfer Credit Policy
Overview
Students must complete 60 units outside AJU prior to admission. Approximately 34 semester units (or 51 quarter units) must satisfy IGETC requirements.
Transfer credit is evaluated after admission and confirmed enrollment. The Masor School determines transfer eligibility, and approved credits are recorded by the University Registrar.
To Receive Transfer Credit
You must:

- Attend a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution

- Submit official transcripts (translated if required)
-
- Complete coursework comparable to UC/CSU standards

- Meet AJU IGETC requirements

- Avoid duplicate coursework

- Duplicate AP/IB or previously completed coursework
Military Credit
Official U.S. military transcripts may be evaluated for transfer after enrollment if coursework meets AJU standards.
Transcript Submission
Electronic transcripts must be sent directly from the issuing institution to registrar@aju.edu.
