Giving
Can I designate my gift to a specific program?
Yes. Donors may direct their support to areas that matter most to them, including academic programs, Jewish learning initiatives, camp experiences, scholarships, and other mission-driven programs across AJU. Fill out the form on this page and select where you want your funds to go under “designation.”
Can I include AJU in my estate plans?
Yes. Planned or legacy gifts allow you to support AJU’s mission while creating a lasting impact for future generations. These gifts may include bequests in a will or trust, beneficiary designations, or other estate-planning vehicles. Visit our legacy planning page here.
Can I make a gift through my donor-advised fund?
Yes. You can recommend a grant to AJU directly through your donor-advised fund administrator. Donor-advised funds allow you to support multiple charitable organizations while enjoying the flexibility and tax benefits of a philanthropic giving account.
Does AJU accept stock donations?
Yes. Gifts of appreciated stock or securities can be a tax-efficient way to support AJU. By donating stock, you may avoid capital gains taxes while making a meaningful contribution to Jewish education and leadership initiatives. Visit the Ways to Donate page to learn more.
Does AJU participate in employer matching gift programs?
Many employers match charitable donations made by their employees or retirees. If your company offers a matching gift program, your contribution to AJU may be doubled—or even tripled. After making your gift, you can submit your employer’s matching gift request here to maximize your impact.
How does my gift support American Jewish University?
Your gift helps power AJU’s mission to expand Jewish learning, cultivate leadership, and create meaningful Jewish experiences for people of all ages. As a center for Jewish learning and community, AJU equips students, campers, scholars, and lifelong learners with the tools to strengthen Jewish life today and for the future.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
American Jewish University is a nonprofit educational institution, and gifts are generally tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Donors should consult their tax advisor regarding specific questions about deductibility.
