Are meals included?
Yes, all meals are provided during the program.
Can I attend only part of the program?
To get the full experience and really connect with the community, everyone needs to commit to the entire program.
Can I earn college credit?
Yes! BCI offers 3 college credits through American Jewish University, which may transfer to your school.
What if I have food allergies?
BCI is allergy-friendly. Meals are clearly labeled and alternatives are always provided, whether you’re gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, or vegan.
Who will I meet at BCI?
You’ll meet young adults ages 20 to 29 from all over the world with a mix of backgrounds, perspectives, and Jewish journeys!
Logistics and Cost
Can I leave campus or have visitors?
To keep the community strong and safe, participants stay on campus for the duration of the program, and visitors aren’t allowed.

Can I smoke at BCI?
No. The campus is smoke-free for everyone’s safety.
How do I get to BCI and back?
If you’re flying in, come into LAX on the designated arrival day and BCI will handle transportation to and from campus. If you live nearby, you can arrive on your own by the start date.
Is there internet at BCI?
Free Wi-Fi is available in the main buildings, but we encourage participants to unplug during programming to fully enjoy the experience.
What is the tuition?

Will I have cell service?
Service is limited in the valley, though some providers may work. Wi-Fi is available in the main buildings.
Community and Culture
How religiously observant is BCI?
BCI is pluralistic and welcoming to everyone. The kitchen is Glatt Kosher, Shabbat is observed, and there are options for prayer, song, and celebration for all levels of observance.
What if English isn’t my first language?
BCI is run in English, so you’ll need to understand and speak English in group settings.
What if I don’t know Hebrew?
No problem! All text study includes English translations.
