With decades of dedication to the field, this experienced educator has been shaping the future of Jewish Early Childhood Education for almost thirty years. As the Site Director at the Helen Diller Family Preschool at the JCCSF, Karla brings a unique blend of artistic vision, Jewish Values, and deep pedagogical expertise to the team.

Karla holds a master’s degree from the American Jewish University and completed her undergraduate studies with a specialization in children’s book illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Her leadership extends beyond her preschool walls having notably served as a Sheva Covenant Directors fellow from 2014-2016. Karla has a passion for fostering vibrant and connected communities and was the co-designer of Kehillah and Kavod,  a Jewish retreat for Early Childhood Educators which gathered over three hundred and fifty ECE professionals, in February of 2026.
