Amy Latzer joins American Jewish University as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, bringing deep expertise in operational strategy, financial leadership, and organizational transformation across nonprofit, educational, and public-serving sectors. Prior to joining AJU, Amy served for nineteen years as the Chief Operating Officer of 211 LA, where she led major operational and technology modernizations, stewarded multimillion-dollar budgets, launched large-scale community initiatives, and helped build one of the nation’s leading information and referral systems. During her tenure, she guided critical strategic partnerships, expanded service capacity, and strengthened teams to meet evolving community needs. Amy is known for her collaborative leadership style, her ability to bring clarity and direction during times of change, and her commitment to building strong, people-centered organizational cultures. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Sector Management from California State University, Northridge. A lifelong learner and community-focused leader, Amy values meaningful relationships, creative problem solving, and supporting the growth of others. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her husband and daughter, travel, a good game of mahjong, and exploring new experiences—always bringing curiosity and care to the world around her.
