American Jewish University Names David Groshoff Professor Emeritus

American Jewish University (AJU) is proud to announce that David Groshoff has been named Professor Emeritus in recognition of his contributions to the university and his distinguished career in both academia and the private sector.

Groshoff has served as a professor of business and law at AJU, where he has played a central role in advancing the university’s mission to educate values-driven leaders. A former executive at JP Morgan Investment Management, Groshoff brings a unique blend of practical financial and corporate law expertise as well as academic insight to his teaching, mentorship, and scholarship. Over his tenure at AJU, he helped shape the university’s approach to social impact education, emphasizing ethical leadership, innovation, and community engagement.

Prior to entering academia, Groshoff spent over a decade managing several billion dollars in distressed and special situations assets, turning around troubled companies and institutional portfolios. His leadership extended to serving as chief legal officer of a mutual fund and as a board member of publicly traded companies, experiences that informed his dynamic and real-world approach to business education.

“Receiving the title of Professor Emeritus is an incredible honor that I accept very humbly,” said Groshoff. “AJU has given me a platform to work with tremendous students and exceptional colleagues, all of whom are passionate about creating meaningful change in the world. I’m grateful to continue my affiliation with such a robust institution that encourages both academic rigor and a deep commitment to values dear to me.”

With this title, Groshoff joins the ranks of AJU’s most respected educators, whose lasting impact continues to shape the university’s future.
