We're thrilled to announce that the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles (JFLA) has awarded our Jewish Learning Experience (JLE) program a grant of $50,000! This generous contribution will allow up to 70 students in grades 9-12 to receive a 50% scholarship for our new course (in partnership with the iCenter) JST 313: Introduction to the History, Culture, and People of Israel.
This course offers a comprehensive and engaging curriculum that fosters a deep connection to Israel. Thanks to JFLA's support, more students than ever will have the chance to explore the rich history, culture, and contemporary life of Israel’s vibrant land.
This scholarship opportunity is open to any Los Angeles Jewish community who wants to partner with the Jewish Learning Experience to offer the Israel class for their 2024-2025 school year. Don't miss out on this chance to enrich the lives of your students. If you're interested in signing up your community for the program, please contact Rabbi Carrie Vogel, Director of Undergraduate Initiatives, at carrie.vogel [at] aju.edu.
We are incredibly grateful to JFLA for their continued dedication to Jewish education in Los Angeles. Their generous support allows us to make JLE more accessible and impactful for students. We hope this inspires other donors and Federations to invest in the future of Jewish learning.
Visit our website to learn more about JLE and how your community can participate. Together, let's ensure a bright future for Jewish education.
