Early Childhood Education Extension Program 2024-2025

These extension courses are tailored to fit the needs of working adults and lifelong learners, with open enrollment and online learning. This is an excellent opportunity for current or aspiring preschool educators to meet other passionate educators in the Jewish setting from around the country virtually. The maximum number of courses a student may complete through the Early Childhood Education Extension Program is four courses.

Spring Classes Begin January 21, 2025

Asynchronous Online Courses Dates: January 21, 2025 - March 14, 2025 (8 weeks long)
1. EDU 311 - Creative Experiences for Young Children (4.0 semester units)
2. EDU 303 - Introduction to the Administration of Early Childhood Programs (4.0 semester units)
3. EDU 313 - Partnering with Families and the Community (4.0 semester units)

Synchronous/Asynchronous Online Courses Dates: January 21, 2025 - May 16, 2025 (1 semester long)
These classes will meet every other Tuesday from 4:30-6:30 PM PT / 7:30-9:30 PM ET via Zoom.**
1. EDU 314 – The Indoor & Outdoor Environments (week A)
2. EDU 309 – STEM Education and Experiences in ECE (week B)
3. EDU 313 – Partnering with Families and the Community (week A)
4. EDU 315 – Child Guidance and Positive Discipline (week B)
**If you choose to do 2 courses, make sure you choose 1 Week A & 1 Week B course, as they will meet on alternate Tuesdays.

Cost per course: $600.00
Registration Fee: $45 per semester
